Maharashtra Wind Power Projects

Essel Mining industries had set up 75 MW wind power project at Maharashtra

Essel Mining industries, an Aditya Birla Group company had set up 75 MW wind power project at Maharashtra. The project is implemented in stages of 15 MW (1st stage), 30 MW (2nd stage) and 30 MW in 3rd stage and all in operation now. The wind turbines are located at Dhule and Nandurbar district of Maharashtra. The windmills are procured from Suzlon Energy. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 3750 million.

Raj Infrastructure Development had set up 2.5 MW wind power project in Maharashtra

Raj Infrastructure Development (India) Pvt Ltd had set up 2.5 MW wind power project in Isharde / Chhadvel villages in Sakhli Taluk in Dhuke district of Maharashtra. The wind power station has 2 turbine of 1.25 MW made by Suzlon. The projects were commissioned in the year 2006.

Rashtriya Chemical Fertilizers plans to set up 25 MW wind power project in Maharashtra

 
Rashtriya Chemical Fertilizer is planning to venture into wind power generation by setting up a 25 MW wind farm in Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 1500 million. Wind power generation will  help to reduce its power bills which currently stands at Rs.12,000 million. Generating renewable energy will earn carbon credits, plus it can sell surplus power to the grid.
