Belgaum Wind Farms Pvt Ltd plans 24.8 MW project at Gadag in Karnataka. The project involves setting up of 31 wind turbine x 800 kw to generate 56 million unit of electricity. The wind turbines are to be supplied by Enercon India as well as the operations & maintenance. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 1430.6 Million.

Mysore Mercantile Corporation sets up 7.2 MW wind power project at Chitradurga

Mysore Mercantile Corporation Ltd sets up 7.2 MW wind power project at Borenahalli & Mathigatta in Holalkere Taluka in Chitradurga district of Karnataka. The project involves setting up of 9 nos. of 800 kw wind turbine generators of Enercon make to generate 16.67 million units of electricity per year. The generated power will be sold to KPTCL and a long term PPA had been signed in this regard. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 373.5 million .

Accion Wind Energy is setting up 29.7 MW at Karnataka

Accion Wind Energy, a Spanish subsidiary of Acciona group of companies, is setting up 29.7 MW at Karnataka. The EPC contract has been awarded to Vestas Wind Technology. The project involves setting up of 18 wind turbines of 1.65 MW totalling 29.7 MW at Arasinagundi in Davangere district of Karnataka. The generated electricity will be sold to DISCOM of Karnataka. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 2120 million.

DLF had set up 11.2 MW wind power project at Gadag

DLF, a leading real estate development company had set up 11.2 MW wind power project at Gadag (apprx. 65 kms from Hubli and 450 kms from Bangalore) in Karnataka. The project involves setting up of 14 wind electricity generators of 0.8 MW to generate 14 MW of power. The turbines are to be supplied by Enercon and the original plan is to generate 26.5 MW of electricity by deploying 32 WEGs. The project cost was estimated at Rs.12800 million.
