Mytrah Energy (India) Ltd is planning to expand its investment by setting up 300 MW wind power projects in Andhra Pradesh. The company is already setting up a around 100 MW of wind power plant in Vajrakarur in Anantapur district. The total investment envisaged is around Rs.20,000 million. The projects will go operational by end 2014. The company has already signed an MoU with the state government to set up over 1000 MW by 2017.
NREDCAP (New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh ) is setting up an 5.95 MW wind power project in Rekalakunta in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The company had placed orders with Gamesa India. The project is expected to go operational by this financial year.
Persistent Systems is planning to set up a 2.1 MW wind turbine project in Dhule in Maharashtra. The company has awarded the contract to Suzlon Energy to develop the project. The plant will produce 37 lakh units of power annually which will be evacuated to Gangapur sub-station as per the agreement with MSEDCL.
Nalco is planning to set up a 50.4 MW wind power plant in Gandikota in Kadappa district of Andhra Pradesh. The company has awarded the contract to Suzlon Energy which will set up 24 wind turbine generators of 2.1 MW. The project is expected to have 22% capacity utilization and is likely to be completed by February 2012. The project also meets Nalco's obligation to purchase 5% of its energy requirements from clean energy sources.
The project had been commissioned and the total investment entailed is Rs. 2750 million.
